Pink Moroccan Rugs

Pink has always been part of Moroccan weaving, especially in the Boujad region, where weavers mix pink with orange, red and purple. On a thick wool pile, pink reads as warm and soft rather than sweet, and it changes through the day as the light moves.

Each rug is hand-knotted to order from washed natural sheep's wool and natural dyes, with a pile of about 3–4 cm (1.2–1.6 in), in 4–6 weeks. You approve photos of the finished rug before it ships, free and with duties paid, to the US or Australia.

Pink pairs naturally with sage and olive green, terracotta, cream, natural wood and brass. In a living room, let a pink rug warm a grey or white sofa. In a bedroom or nursery, a blush or rose rug creates a calm, gentle room. Bolder pinks and oranges suit eclectic and bohemian interiors.
