About This Rug
The Azilal style trades the strict neutrality of a Beni Ourain for something more playful, and this rug shows it: rows of pink diamonds float across an ivory field, warm and unfussy. The color stays gentle, so the rug feels bright without turning loud. That balance makes it easy to place. In a bedroom it adds a soft wash of color at the foot of the bed; in a living room it brings warmth to a neutral scheme without overpowering it. This Azilal-style rug takes a colorful, expressive direction, with pink diamonds handwoven in wool over an ivory field. It is made entirely by hand by Moroccan women artisans in the Berber (Amazigh) tradition. As with all handmade rugs, the spacing and tone of the diamonds shift slightly from piece to piece — evidence of a design drawn by hand rather than printed.
