Pink & Purple Abstract Moroccan Rug

Pink and purple lead this abstract Berber rug, with orange and blue woven through shapes that feel drawn by hand rather than repeated. Colorful Berber rugs grow out of the same Amazigh weaving traditions as Beni Ourain and Boujad pieces, with more freedom in palette and pattern. This rug is hand-knotted to order from naturally dyed wool by a woman weaver in the network of about forty artisans we work with in Morocco.

Vacuum regularly on low suction without the beater bar, and keep the vacuum off the fringe. Blot spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth; do not rub. Turn the rug every few months so it wears and fades evenly. For a deep clean, use a professional cleaner who works with wool. A few loose fibers are normal in the first weeks of a new wool rug.
