About This Rug
Freehand lines in neon pink, green, blue and orange wander down an ivory field, with bold black and mustard blocks at the top and bottom. It feels more like a drawing than a pattern. It brings colour to white and wood interiors without heavy pattern: under a bed, in a living room or in a home office. The photos show the rug this design comes from, on our workshop floor in Morocco. Yours is hand-knotted to order from washed natural sheep's wool in 4–6 weeks, so the motifs will be placed by hand and vary a little; before it ships we send you photos of your finished rug to approve. Choose one of 10 standard sizes from 2×3 to 10×15 ft, or enter your own size.

Craft story
Azilal rugs are named after the Azilal province in Morocco's High Atlas, where weavers knot bright, freehand motifs onto a pale wool ground. The motifs are placed by eye rather than from a fixed chart, so no two rugs are exactly alike. This one is hand-knotted to order by a woman weaver in the network of more than forty artisans we work with in Morocco.
Care
Vacuum regularly on low suction without the beater bar, and keep the vacuum off the fringe. Blot spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth; do not rub. Turn the rug every few months so it wears and fades evenly. For a deep clean, use a professional cleaner who works with wool. A few loose fibers are normal in the first weeks of a new wool rug.
