About This Rug
Two panels of hot pink, knotted in a honeycomb texture, sit on a deep purple ground and end in a red fringe. The colour is loud and the pile is thick and springy. Use it where you want energy: a teenager's bedroom, a dressing room or a reading corner, with plain walls and pale wood around it. The photos show the rug this design comes from, on our workshop floor in Morocco. Yours is hand-knotted to order from washed natural sheep's wool in 4–6 weeks, so the motifs will be placed by hand and vary a little; before it ships we send you photos of your finished rug to approve. Choose one of 10 standard sizes from 2×3 to 10×15 ft, or enter your own size.

Craft story
Boujad rugs take their name from the town of Boujad in central Morocco, a weaving area known for warm pinks, reds and oranges and loose, improvised designs. This rug is hand-knotted to order in that spirit by a woman weaver in the network of more than forty artisans we work with in Morocco.
Care
Vacuum regularly on low suction without the beater bar, and keep the vacuum off the fringe. Blot spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth; do not rub. Turn the rug every few months so it wears and fades evenly. For a deep clean, use a professional cleaner who works with wool. A few loose fibers are normal in the first weeks of a new wool rug.
