About This Rug
Bands of soft grey and pale stone with a single charcoal stripe running down the middle: a calm, architectural rug with a thick, soft pile and nothing to prove. Made for minimal and Scandinavian rooms, it sits easily with grey sofas, oak and concrete, and the central stripe lines up neatly under a bed or a coffee table. The photos show the rug this design comes from, on our workshop floor in Morocco. Yours is hand-knotted to order from washed natural sheep's wool in 4–6 weeks, so the motifs will be placed by hand and vary a little; before it ships we send you photos of your finished rug to approve. Choose one of 10 standard sizes from 2×3 to 10×15 ft, or enter your own size.

Craft story
Beni Ourain rugs come from the tribes of Morocco's Middle Atlas, who wove thick wool rugs to sleep on and keep warm through long mountain winters. This rug follows that tradition: it is hand-knotted, one knot at a time, by a woman weaver in the network of more than forty artisans we work with in Morocco, then washed and finished by hand.
Care
Vacuum regularly on low suction without the beater bar, and keep the vacuum off the fringe. Blot spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth; do not rub. Turn the rug every few months so it wears and fades evenly. For a deep clean, use a professional cleaner who works with wool. A few loose fibers are normal in the first weeks of a new wool rug.
