Beni Ourain rugs come from the tribes of Morocco's Middle Atlas, who wove thick wool rugs to sleep on and keep warm through long mountain winters. The wool is traditionally left in its natural ivory, and the pattern stays simple: diamonds, lattices and zigzags drawn by eye rather than from a chart.
That restraint is why a Beni Ourain works in so many rooms. Ours follow the same tradition, and the collection also includes designs in red, rust, green and grey. Each one is hand-knotted to order by a woman weaver in the cooperatives we work with, in the size you choose.

All questionsDo Beni Ourain rugs shed?
A few loose fibers are normal in the first weeks of a new wool rug, especially with a thick pile. Vacuum on low suction without the beater bar and it settles down.
Is the rug in the photos the one I'll receive?
The photos show the rug each design comes from. Yours is hand-knotted to order from the same design in the size you choose, so the motifs will vary a little. Before it ships, we email you photos of your finished rug to approve.
How long will my rug take?
Weaving takes 4–8 weeks, depending on the size. Once you've approved the photos, your rug ships by DHL Express and usually arrives in about 5 business days.
Will I pay customs or import taxes?
No. Shipping is free worldwide and we ship DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): we pay the import duties and taxes in advance, so there is nothing to pay on delivery.
Can I order a different size?
Yes. Most designs can be woven to your exact measurements. Tell us your size and we'll reply with a price.
